The Drop - Ky Anh's Fishing and Shrimping (Câu cá Câu tôm Kỳ Anh Quán)
If you’re looking for an afternoon getaway to escape the business of the city, make your way to Bình Quới island.
Once you cross the bridge entering this ward that used to be part of Bình Thạnh district, you’ll immediately get the sense that you have left Saigon. Gone are the skyscrapers and large buildings of the city—this island has small coffee shops and eateries, green spaces and farms, and various fishing establishments.
One of these is Ky Anh's Fishing and Shrimping— you can sit down for an hour at a time, grab some Saigon beers, and try out catching some shrimp. If you’d like, you can try your hand at catching some large river and lake fish as well.
Once caught, you pay by weight to have them cooked fresh in their kitchen. Their staff are very friendly, even to those that have never tried an experience like this before!
